Location: TD Garden, Boston, MA

Series Recap:
Celtics lead series 1-0
Boston took Game 1 convincingly, 103-86, dominating the second half 55-37. Despite a strong performance from Paolo Banchero (36 points, 11 rebounds), the Magic struggled offensively, committing 15 turnovers and shooting just 42% from the field. The rest of the starting lineup outside of Banchero and Wagner combined for only 10 points, raising concerns about depth and scoring options.
Orlando Magic Breakdown:
Orlando’s defense has been solid all season, allowing just 105.5 points per game, but their offense is the glaring concern. With Jalen Suggs out for the postseason and the bench providing little help, the Magic will struggle to generate enough points against Boston’s elite defense. They’ve averaged 108.8 points over their last 10, but that’s padded by games against weaker opponents. Boston presents a whole different challenge, especially at TD Garden.
Key Players:
-
Paolo Banchero: 36 points, 11 rebounds (Game 1)
-
Franz Wagner: 23 points, 5 assists
Boston Celtics Breakdown:
Boston is elite on both ends of the floor. They rank 3rd in offensive efficiency and average 116.3 PPG. In Game 1, they didn’t even need Jayson Tatum to dominate to pull away. Derrick White shot lights out (7-12 from three) and Payton Pritchard added valuable depth scoring off the bench. They’ve now won 8 of their last 10 games and have covered the -10.5 line in 4 of their last 5 at home. Expect a more locked-in defensive effort tonight and more controlled offense.
Key Players:
-
Derrick White: 30 points, 7 threes (Game 1)
-
Jayson Tatum: 17 points, 14 rebounds

Exact Score Prediction:
Boston Celtics 106 – Orlando Magic 91
Our Best Bet:
Boston Celtics -10.5 (-110)
Boston dominated the second half of Game 1 and still left room for improvement. Orlando simply doesn’t have the depth to hang with a deep, experienced Celtics team—especially on the road. With the Celtics covering double-digit spreads consistently at home and Orlando failing to do so in back-to-back road games, this feels like another double-digit victory for Boston.
